Key Accomplishments

The Board has been hard at work since we formed on August 10, 2019.

• Built a Website

• Grew the petition to over 1800 signatures in 2 ½ weeks.

• Set up our Facebook Page, Twitter and Instagram Accounts

• Set up the Executive Board

• Set up the Board Members and Committee Heads

• Met with Matthew Glesne, City Planner, Los Angeles City Planning Department

• Met Luci Ibarra, Chief Deputy - Planning and Land Use Policy Council District 8, Councilmember, Marqueece Harris-Dawson (Head of PLUM Committee)

• Met with Steve Ferguson and Alexander Hall of Airbnb’s Mobilization Department regarding formation of HALA

• Met with Gerald Gubatan, Senior Planning Director for Councilmember Gil Cedillo’s office and Bill Cody, Field Deputy for Gil Cedillo’s office.

• Endless breakout meetings and phone calls between Board Members.

• Held another board meeting on 8/24/19

• Created a Pitch Deck w/referenced data re Homesharing, who we are, and what our ask is to hand out to Councilmembers when we meet with them.
